CECILY KNOBLER
Our Hollywood film critic checked in this morning to tell us what movies this weekend are hot and which are not.

"Rendition" starring Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Meryl Streep and she gave it a C-. "Rendition" The wife of an Egyptian-born chemical engineer tries to find her husband after he's abducted by the CIA and held as a terrorist suspect. Stars Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, and Alan Arkin. (R)

The other movie she reviewed was Ben Affleck's "Gone Baby Gone" starring Ben's brother Casey and Morgan Freeman and she gave it a B. "Gone Baby Gone" Two private-eyes risk everything to investigate a missing child in what turns out to be a maze of mystery. Stars Casey Affleck, Michelle Monaghan, Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, and John Ashton. (R for violence, drug content and pervasive language)

"Things We Lost In the Fire" starring Halle Berry is an art type film and the movie is so/so. The Comebacks, don't waste your time.

Battle of the Sexes-It went to the tiebreaker and the guys won!
DAVID COPPERFIELD-He's being investigated by the FBI! They raided his Las Vegas storage unit and recovered personal items. Apparently the investigation stems from a Seattle case. For more, go to http://www.tmz.com/

Sheila E- Our "Where Are They Now" series caught up this morning with Sheila E. The percussive super-star is a judge on FOX's "Next Great American Band." It's from the same people that brought us American Idol, so it should be a pretty good show. The 2-hour season premiere is tonight at 8:00 on FOX35.

GLENN RICHARDS-The FOX35 Chief Meteorologist joined us this morning for the weekend weather forecast. TICKED OFF
There was a "Ticked Off" entry this morning from what seemed to be a parent mad that their daughter wasn't getting enough playing time on the girls JV volleyball team. I coached boys JV basketball at Lyman HS and at that level, your job is to get W's for the school. In high school sports, the students are not guaranteed playing time and the best players get the PT. It's the way it was when my dad played ball, when I played, and will be the same when my son plays. Now, it's totally different when it comes to Little League and Pop Warner. At that level, I think all the kids should get equal playing time. But high school, the best kids play and if you're up, then put everyone else in to get some PT.

ELLEN AND THE PUP

So, who do you think is right in the Ellen and the dog debacle? Ellen tried to find the dog a good home and the pet lady should be happy the dog is in a happy home. Come on, she said she runs the dog shelter cause she loves it and is barely making enough money to live. Did you see her Chanel sunglasses!!!!!!!!!!!! It's freakin' Ellen! She found the dog a safe, loving home, get over it.

$25 Pyramid- Erica played today and got 5 out of 5.

Joey Bartolomeo-Here is a sneak peek into tomorrow's issue of Us Weekly Magazine with the Senior Writer, Joey B.
Cover: Growing Up Suri!
"She's a happy little girl," says a family insider. She lights up when she sees her dad. She's also impatient and likes to play in puddles and mud -- not good for her expensive clothes (like a dress for $250 and jeans for $110). She was fed a Scientology-approved mixture of barley water, milk and corn syrup. Her parents can't say no to her, and they don't like to give her rules. Scientology parenting is about being a friend to the child. She is surrounded by Scientologists (but is not taking classes yet). She has two Scientologist nannies. Her parents keep her up (and out) well after midnight.

Britney's Dressing Room Rant
At Neiman Marcus, she was overheard saying, "I hate my judge. He is so mean. Just an old fart. . . . And paid me no respect at all." She was sarcastic with the judge at the recent hearing. She also wanted her dog brought over from her house in Malibu. Plus: Driving with Britney -- a map of the 96 miles she traveled on October 10 (she made 8 stops).

Fall Flings!
Cameron Diaz and Bradley Cooper -- spotted together during the past month
Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl) -- been secretly dating since July
Jessica Simpson and Orlando Bloom -- keeping it quiet

How Much Does It Cost To Be Brangelina?
$100,000 per month rent at the Waldorf Towers in NY
5 houses (most expensive is $8.4 million)
Pitt recently bought a $2 million painting
Maddox's school tuition is $18,900

Hollywood Divorce-O-Meter
From exes who keep it friendly (like Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro) to ones whose claws are out (Kid Rock and Pam Anderson) and many in between

Kate Hudson: Phoning Owen
Telling people at her high school reunion that she's single (means relationship with Dax is over). Also, one source says she's been talking to Owen Wilson on the phone about their relationship.

Lindsay Lohan's boy trouble
Until recently, her new boyfriend was engaged. He just stopped calling the girl, her mom says.

Katharine McPhee is getting married in February at a Beverly Hills estate

Fact or Fiction-We're looking for a new champion to make a run tomorrow morning, it could be you!

Ellen's Dog-Have you see the story about Ellen and her dog from Mutts and Moms? She took in a dog, her cats didn't get along with the dog, so Ellen gave the dog to a loving family. Well, apparently she's not allowed to do that. If she can't take care of the dog, then it has to go back to the shelter. The owner of Mutts and Moms went with the police and got the dog back. The whole ordeal really upset Ellen and she was crying on her show yesterday. You can YouTube the video of it and get more info at http://www.tmz.com/

$25 Pyramid-I played this morning at we got all 5 (not without a little holdup)! The Pyramid jackpot is back to $25.

Getting Paid!
How often do you get paid? Some get paid weekly, biweekly, and others monthly. I couldn't imagine getting paid on a monthly basis. It must be difficult to budget being paid monthly. I remember when I worked in the restaurant business and I got tipped out nightly and I would have that cash burning a hole in my pocket. When it came time to get my paycheck for that big $40, I'd be broke because the cash would be spent.

Fact or Fiction-Janet won again this morning and has $80 that you can steal tomorrow morning!

A few facts for ya'!

The low rise jeans are on their way out and the ones from the 70's and 80's are coming back. If you are dieting and you crave greasy foods, experts say it's because you are not getting enough calories. They say when you are on a very low-cal diet, the first thing the body craves when it is hungry is greasy foods.

GO MAGIC!
Last night was my first game of the season as the PA Announcer for the Orlando Magic. It was a great game last night with the home team snagging the victory over the Charlotte Bobcats 123-99. As a lifelong fan of the Magic and a former player, coach, and referee of the game, it's a dream come true to sit court side and announce. Lots of energy last night with the "new look" Magic! It's going to be a very exciting season with the addition of Rashard Lewis and Coach Stan Van Gundy. Tomorrow night they take on the Miami Heat at the Amway Arena at 7:00. This is Van Gundy's former team, so it should be fun for him.

Battle of the Sexes- The women won today and lead 116-80. The ladies are 5 wins away from winning for the year.

Ticked Off-Here are some of the entries from this morning's Ticked Off Column...

Someone was ticked off at the lady that let one fly on the plane. Oops, try doing that in the bathroom! The other ticked was Scott mad at how short left turn lights are. It's true! Think when you're turning left at an intersection, you know at any moment it's going to turn yellow on you. So, what do you do? We all speed up! We ride the person's bumper in front of us cause we know that if we don't make the light, we're going to be stuck sitting there for another 5 minutes. Or you get the idiots that just run the light and don't care if they almost cause an accident. We need a little more time on the left turn signals.

Mayor Buddy Dyer-Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer came into the studio this morning to see his favorite morning show! He came in this morning to talk about his "State of Downtown" last week and the development plans for Orlando. If you'd like to read more about the plan, you can go to http://cityoforlando.net/elected/mayor/speeches/stateofdwntwn07.htm

$25 Pyramid-I played today and we got 4 out of 5

Here's a poll from CNN on the Top 10 Things that would make an employer throw out your resume:

#1.) SPELLING AND GRAMMAR MISTAKES. This is HUGE, because it shows how much you pay attention to detail. If there's even the tiniest error, your resume will probably be trashed. Re-read everything before you send it out.

#2.) YOUR OPENING OBJECTIVE. You can't just have some generic statement like, "I'm hoping to obtain employment that utilizes my skills." That doesn't cut it. Make it clear what you want. . . and how you can help them.

#3.) GIVING PERSONAL INFORMATION. There's really no need to list your height, weight, age. . . or provide a picture.

#4.) LISTING YOUR INTERESTS. If your hobbies or interests have absolutely nothing to do with the job you're applying for. . . leave them out.

#5.) WRITING EVERY DETAIL OF EVERY JOB YOU'VE EVER HAD. This is just way too much information for people to take in. Employers want to be able to take one look at your resume and get a clear idea of your responsibilities.

#6.) EXCESSIVE BRAGGING. It's cool to list the things you've done to help out past companies. . . but don't overdo it. . . because you don't want the employers to think you're full of yourself.

#7.) OUTDATED INFORMATION. Leave off activities and jobs that you did in high school. . . and completely omit jobs you had 10 or more years ago. . . because the info is probably irrelevant to the position you're applying for now.

#8.) FALSE INFORMATION. It's okay to list something like "service professional" instead of "waiter" on a resume, since that's pretty minor. --But don't lie about your qualifications or something that can easily be checked out. . . like where you went to school or what degrees you have.

#9.) UNEXPLAINED GAPS IN JOB HISTORY. It may look a little shady if you took some 10 YEARS off between jobs. Make sure to explain whatever the circumstance was for the gap.

#10.) LACKING PROFESSIONALISM. Don't use colored paper, strange fonts. . . or childish e-mail addresses. Keep things as professional as possible.

It's time for a sneak peek into tomorrow's issue of Us Weekly with Senior Writer Joey Bartolomeo!

Cover-

Jennifer Lopez: Yes, She's Pregnant. Multiple sources confirm she is about four months pregnant. Her mother has been telling people it's twins. She doesn't want to expose her private life and will let her waistline speak for itself. People on her tour are not allowed to talk about the pregnancy around Marc and Jennifer.

Britney: Family to the Rescue!Reunited with her mom after Britney called her (music producer Dallas Austin helped bring them together). The goal is to get her back into rehab. She didn't see her kids for a scheduled visit -- a Federline friend says it was because Brit was a mess from partying the night before (but she saw them another day). She applied for a job as a bartender at a Santa Monica hotel.

Pam Anderson's surprise wedding-She married Rick Salomon (from the Paris Hilton sex tape). They have a lot in common: two ex spouses (his second wife was Shannen Doherty, their kids are the same ages).

Lance Bass book excerpt: "I felt completely betrayed."Writes about Timberlake's decision to go solo. Justin blamed Nsync's breakup on Lance and Joey Fatone's failed movie "On the Line" -- he thought it wasn't in the best interest of the band.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden house-hunting in the suburbs. She's accompanying him on tour in Australia. She was spotted taking an alcohol education class.

Contrary to Internet rumors, Angelina Jolie did not see her father, Jon Voight, in NYC last weekend (though he was at the Waldorf-Astoria where she's living).
