Ticked Off-One entry in today's Ticked Off was a customer mad that servers come by and ask "you still working on that?" Come on, if that's the one thing in life that is really bothering you, you need to get out of the house more often. I'll tell you the thing that bugs me that some servers do, and mine is as stupid as the other persons. I hate it when they sit down at your table to take your order. Are you too tired to stand? Do you feel that close to my family that you must sit? Or is the air too thin up there to breather that you must sit you get your breath before going back to the kitchen? AND, this really drives me crazy not that I am ranting...If you can remember my entire order without writing it down, that's awesome. However, if you choose not to write it down, and you screw up my order because you forgot, I will grab the mustard bottle and throw it at you when you walk away. (OK, I really won't do that. Or will I?) HAHA
Battle of the Sexes-The men won today in the tiebreaker!
Ben Stein-You know him from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Win Ben Stein's Money, the Clear Eyes commercials, and now you know him from the Scott and Erica Show. Ben joined us this morning and he said he visits Orlando at least 10 times a year. He said his favorite thing about Orlando, Waffle House! HAHA He is hosting a new show on VH-1 called "America's Most Smartest Model." You can see it over and over on VH-1.
$25 Pyramid-Scott played today and got 4 out of 5.
From CNN, the 6 Reasons You're Not Getting Promoted:
1. You slack off. If you show up late, check out your MySpace, and goof off...a promotion won't be happening any time soon.
2. You do just enough to get by. Your bosses are looking for someone that goes above and beyond.
3. You're not visible enough. It's cool to be good at what you do, so don't be afraid to show others how good you are.
4. You're difficult. No one wants to work with someone that's difficult and that cold be holding you back.
5. You haven't mastered your current job. Once you've mastered all aspects of your job, the odds of a promotion are much better. Don't act like any part of your job is beneath you.
6. Your boss needs you in the job you're in. It is possible to be too good at your job, so your boss doesn't want to let you go. Make it clear you want to move up in the company.
Fact or Fiction-Chris Menza listened to me yesterday and came in and stole Scott's $80. He can now go for the $200 tomorrow...unless you steal it.
