1933 - THE LONE RANGER was heard on the radio for the first time. It ran for 2,956 episodes and ended in 1955.

1969 - THE BEATLES made their last-ever public appearance as a group . . . performing on the roof of Apple Studios in London. The show was stopped when police arrived after neighbors complained about the noise.

1971 - The JANIS JOPLIN classic "ME AND BOBBY MCGEE" was released.


1977 - "THE HARDY BOYS MYSTERIES", starring PARKER STEVENSON and SHAUN CASSIDY debuted on ABC.


1982 - The HALL & OATES CLASSIC "I CAN'T GO FOR THAT" hit #1 on the pop and R&B charts, one week after hitting #1 on the disco chart.
